Joshua uses the word “serve” six times in two verses. He is calling the people of Israel to not simply serve when it is convenient or to see God as an option among many gods. The call is to serve God “with all faithfulness.” Every area must be surrendered to God. Our homes can be filled with false idols and gods that get our attention and devotion, sometimes more than Jesus. How do we create our homes to be centered on Jesus?
