Welp.It happened.On arguably (but probably not really "arguably" at all?) the worst day in franchise history, the Rockies traded perhaps their greatest player of all-time to the St. Louis Cardinals for a package of mostly anonymous prospects, a probably underwhelming big league pitcher who will be eaten alive by Coors Field, and oh by the way they shipped out up to $50M with him while speaking through the other side of their collective organizational mouth about how financial times are tough because of the pandemic and blah blah blah.It sucks, man. We try to put some thoughts into words. That's all we can do.
