Man this week I got to sit down with Martin and Matt of one of my favorite bands, Grimy Styles to discuss a bit of their history and to get hyped up for their new album Late Pioneers of Psych Dub - out later this month. The boys are back and in their truest form. On this episode we discuss the bands history and how guitarist Matt Beebe's work in the studios of Jamaica with the sons of Joe Gibbs on rhythm's that were voiced by artists like Cocoa T, Lutan Fyah, I-Wayne, Capleton, Luciano, Junior Reed and more led to the formation of the band upon his return. I used to go see Grimy Styles play any chance that I got, and as discussed in this episode I considered them a secret weapon of sorts when I would book shows that crossed genres.
