Hör' Mal Wer Die Welt Verändert

In our second English episode we have decided to focus on a very important resource. It is so important that it covers 70% of the planet, but only 2,5% are available as a freshwater resource. From those 2,5% less than 1% is available since the other  ⅔ are frozen in glaciers and ice sheets. The impacts of the climate crisis are affecting water in many different ways around the globe. We can expect higher temperatures, extreme weather, floods, droughts, higher and lower precipitation, melting glaciers, increasing sea levels, decreasing water quality etc. To give you an idea about the impacts of climate change on the resources “water” all over the world we invited students from England, Brazil, Norway and Germany that gave us an insight on how the climate crisis is impacting the water resources in their country.
