Jacob’s life was complicated and filled with redundancy. He cheated for his brothers birthright, ran away from home, agreed to stay and work 7 years for the wrong wife, worked another 7 years for the right wife, manipulated the flocks for his gain, ran away from his uncles homestead, and on returning and in fear, sent his family and servants and flocks ahead in groups.
