This week Martin, Ron and Karen examine the importance of mindfulness. By our definition mindfulness is the practice of maintaining a wordless, nonjudgmental, moment by moment, heightened awareness of our feelings, thoughts and body while in a state of complete focus. Mindfulness as an expression of love is important as it allows us to drop the rest of the world away and opens us up to have clarity of mind and connect to Universal consciousness. One of its biggest benefits is that it brings us joy. Far too often we are rushing from here to there and do not take a moment to pause. We are under continual stress. Yet it is the pauses we take that allow us to refresh and open up to new ideas, which can change our lives. We become aware, energized, joyous and productive. Mindfulness increases our immune system, reduces depression and improves our overall health. When we develop mindfulness as part of who we are being, we become more self-sovereign.
