How will you someday face “Death”? Will you meet “Death” as a friend or foe? Will you cross his path in fear or in faith? Will your encounter be marked by hope or hopelessness? Will you go toe to toe with your perceived enemy only to find that in the last round of life, “Death” is actually not only a friend but a friend you await with anticipation, and embrace on arrival? Like Stephan do you understand that our death means life eternal through Jesus? Paul writes, “For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Someday I hope to snatch victory from the jaws of “Death.” I hope to greet death with the confidence that alone comes from knowing Christ.
