I was fortunate enough to attend college on an Army ROTC (Reserve Officers Training Corps) scholarship, graduate, and get commissioned as a Second Lieutenant.  I spent the next 4 ½ years serving in various leadership roles (Platoon Leader, Executive Officer, Maintenance Officer, and Staff Officer).
