Thanksgiving Message Sunday, November 24, 2019 Happy Thanksgiving! The grateful life Dan 6:10-23 Daniel gave thanks to the Lord in the most unlikely of situations. Daniel had so distinguished himself that Darius was planning to appoint him over his entire kingdom. Daniel would have to choose between obeying his God and obeying the king's statute. Anyone who makes a petition to any god or man besides you, O king, for thirty days, shall be cast into the lions' den. Daniel knew that the penalty for disobeying the king's injunction was death in the lions' den. He dropped to his knees like he always did, and gave the Lord thanks - like he always did.
