Chapter 12 addressed the common good of the body of Christ as a whole. Chapter 13 emphasized that all spiritual gifts must operate in love. Chapter 14:1-25 taught that prophecy was superior to tongues. Beginning in verse 26, he gave instructions to the saints at Corinth- concerning how they ought to use their communication gifts when the saints gathered together for worship. So these detailed instructions on tongues and prophecy are not applicable to our worship services today. There are five enduring principles at work here.
