The Christ 4. The Son of God 5. Life Joh 1:1-18 Gen 1:1 The "beginning" of Genesis 1:1 is the beginning of the creation. Joh 17:5 The "beginning" in John 1:1 is infinitely earlier than the creation of the heavens and the earth. The best word to describe it is "eternal". And in that same eternity past, the Word existed also. The LORD revealed Himself in the Old Testament as the only God. There is only one God.
