Sinopse

Episode 38 excerpt: "Be kind to each other. Nobody knows the full history of another person and what it took for them to get there." Content warning: sex trafficking, rape Our lovely guest gifted us with homemade crispy tortillas so of course we made tacos on our 38th episode! Mercy Agi Aguilar has been an active community member, helping the houseless, and others in need for several years. We also discuss her work with The Jonah Project, a local nonprofit that helps at-risk youth and sex trafficking victims by finding them find a safe place to stay and "needed care after experiencing sexual and psychological trauma." Spoiler: Hoopfest, the largest 3-on-3 basketball tournament in the country, draws a lot of sex trafficking to Spokane. Mercy is a lovely human being full of compassion and a valued member here in Spokane. Her work with those experiencing homelessness is so, so appreciated and needed.
