Eaglesfancast - Views On The Philadelphia Eagles

The first loss of the season comes at the hands of the Detroit Lions, a Ryan Mathews fumble, a Carson Wentz interception (his first of the year), a flat Eagles Defense to start the game, and poor officiating. With all of that listed, we are not especially bummed about this loss. Disappointed, yes, but the loss does not taste that bad. The Eagles went in the hole quickly in the first quarter by two touchdowns, but adjusted, dug in, and came back and eventually took the lead in the fourth quarter. This was a huge test for both the rookie quarterback, and rookie head coach Doug Pederson, as they showed they could lead the Birds back. This is a positive thing moving forward as the Eagles have their first divisional game against the Washington Redskins this next week on the road, and then the games get much more challenging moving forward from there. This game was one they could have won. They didn’t. But it was yet another learning experience in a long road that us Eagles fans hope will lead us back to the playof
