Millicent Fawcett was a suffragist who fought for women’s right to vote. The first law allowing them to do so passed in 1918. The Mayor of London Sadiq Khan unveils a statue commemorating Millicent Fawcett's courage in Parliament Square.  This is the first time a woman is honoured in the square, while 11 other men in bronze already stand there.
