In this inaugural broadcast of IRRI Radio we begin, appropriately enough, with a journey that matters a great deal to us: taking a rice seed to a rice crop. Rice Survivor challenges four teams of IRRI employees - many of whom have never stepped into a rice paddy - to grow and harvest their own rice. All of them study rice in one way or another so it should be easy ... right?
