Brian Gionta was drafted 82nd overall by the New Jersey Devils in the 1998 NHL Entry Draft. after staring  for Boston College from 1997 to 2001, During his time with the Eagles he won a national championship as their captain in the 2000–01 season. He played in the NHL from 2001 to 2017, most recently with the Buffalo Sabres , In 1006 NHL games he scored 289 goals He was a member of 2006 USA Olympic Hockey team and now 12 years later he is back chasing a gold medal as the captain of the USA Olympic Hockey team.
