Dr. Melanie Howell grew up in Bergen County New Jersey. She received her medical degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry-School of Osteopathic Medicine. She then completed a residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation from NYU Langone Medical Center/Rusk Institute of Rehabilitation Medicine. Upon completion of her residency, she went on to pursue fellowship training in Cancer Rehabilitation Medicine at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, where she focused on the treatment of pain, as well as the restoration of function during and after cancer treatment. Dr. Howell is board-certified by the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, a member of the New York Society of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, and a member of the American Osteopathic Association. She is also an active member of the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.
