God’s story is what makes sense of our lives and all of history. We don’t add God to our lives—he invites us into His story. God’s (redemption) purpose in freeing us from bondage to sin and suffering goes beyond what he wants to do in us; he wants to do something through us as we who have been called out of darkness and into his marvelous light make him known to others in word and deed.
