John 17:21-22 Jesus' prayer that we would ‘be one’ in the same way that he and the father are one seems like an almost impossible achievement, such a depth of love in a relationship, such a sense of belonging to each other and being totally one with each other is impossible for us to achieve - on our own that is. It takes God to change the heart of a person towards another, but it also requires a willing heart and a pursuit of the grace to love another person. We mirror the relationship between God the Father and the Son through our attitudes towards our leaders and those we are called to pursue as Spiritual Fathers, and when you allow God to bring you to a place of deep belonging, he can pour out blessing.
