Sinopse

The roots of North Texas’ Metal Legends, WARLOCK, can be traced to the earliest primal stirrings of the Lone Star State’s embryonic Heavy Metal music scene. Certainly, there were rock bands playing the club circuit before Warlock emerged in 1981 and some of these bands would occasionally play an Iron Maiden or Ozzy song amongst their Bob Seger and Loverboy tunes. Pantera was among these cover bands and leaned heavier than some but their set consisted of a lot of “party” rock songs from Van Halen and Def Leppard. Warlock was one of the first, if not THE first local band to be “all metal, all the time” and, by metal, we mean the hardest, rawest, most uncompromising metal around in the early 80’s, following the same course as bands such as Motorhead, Venom, Exciter, Priest, Saxon, Holocaust, Raven, etc (in fact Warlock played covers by all of those bands). The first line up of Warlock included Jerry Warden on vocals, his brother David on guitar, Casey Orr on bass and Harden Harrison on drums.
