The belt of Truth holds our clothes and armour in place. Without knowing the truth, we are vulnerable to being totally exposed to the enemy's attacks. Jesus is the Truth, and it's by keeping Him in the centre that we will not fall into deception. However, many people are scared of new revelations and new experiences, and this fear coupled with tradition and self-preservation, is what causes many to stay in bondage and not to experience the freedom, that Jesus promised in John 8:31 "Then said Jesus to those Jews who believed on him, If you continue in my word, then are you my disciples indeed; 32 And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free." By continuing in His word (logos), then you will know the truth...this truth being Jesus, and He will make us free. Not everything is revealed to us immediately - revelation is progressive, what we know now is not what was widely preached in years gone by...so it is that we need to stay on the cutting edge of God's Word, and to have His Holy Spirit reve
