In an unusual Western spin on The Prisoner, The Stranger (Patrick McGoohan) resigns from his role of Sheriff in the Old West, but is captured and brought to the mysterious town of Harmony, whose citizens are governed by the ruthless Judge (David Bauer). However, refusal to conform and take up the role of Sheriff in this new town brings him into confrontation with Judge and his unhinged right-hand man, The Kid (Alexis Kanner). Assisted by Kathy, the saloon girl, The Stranger is forced to confront the criminal elements in this lawless town but in doing so, unravels the reality of where, and who, he really is.
