On today's show, I welcome back Martins Ferry Times Leader Sports Editor Seth Staskey to talk about the 2004 Bellaire Big Reds. Seth covered every game of the magical run, which Gene Ammirante's team took the All-American town on. The season ended in heart-breaking fashion, much like its 1995 Division IV State Football Final, but not before the Big Reds gave its town something to remember. Bellaire finished the year (22-5) and made the school's first and only state tournament. Aaron Agnew would graduate and move on to Iowa State. Sophomore Nate Davis, who eventually was drafted in the 5th Round by the San Francisco 49ers, is currently 9th all-time on Ohio's scoring list and 7th in rebounds. He had Ball State (FB) in the Top 10, at one point, before losing to Buffalo. The team featured three players which scored 1,000 or more points (Agnew, Davis, and Mike Fisher).
