Blindness:Danial Turnbull was born going blind suffering from Retinitis pigmentosa (RP). RP is a group of rare, genetic disorders that involve a breakdown and loss of cells in the retina—which is the light sensitive tissue that lines the back of the eye. Common symptoms include difficulty seeing at night and a loss of side (peripheral) vision. RP is an inherited disorder.Minh Turnbull was born blind. Minh states that all of her other sense are very keen. Minh came to the states from Vietnam. Minh does have two prosthetic eyes.They both feel very strongly that blindness will not define them. They share how they want people to view them and how along the way they have had some “interference”.
