This morning, let's focus on the fact that our grounding comes from the Word of God. The Logos, or the revealed written Word, is given by God to inspire, develop, correct, and build us up in the faith. Neglecting to read the Word of God is essentially neglecting to feed your spirit. What would happen if you neglect to feed your body? We all know this answer. The same notion happens to your spirit and soul. We can not expect to flourish without nourishment. The Word of God brings grounding and spiritual fortitude no matter the season of life.  Its power is not to be underestimated because reading it is not like just reading any ordinary book. For these writings are not just words, but they are living and work the Life of God into your very being.
