It may sound off the cuff, but did you know that the Scripture teaches us to speak to ourselves, to encourage ourselves, and remind ourselves about the truth.  Sometimes we get so caught up in what is occurring around us that we are unaware of the impact of our voices. We can bring our emotions and environments back into alignment by merely talking to ourselves. For the Scripture, indeed does say, that the power of life and death abides in the tongue. It goes further to say that "those who love it will eat the fruit thereof."
