in 2010, April Samuels was diagnosed with an aggressive form of breast cancer called “Triple Negative Breast Cancer”. Not one to walk away from a fight, April tackled breast cancer with a vengeance and won that battle.     As a gigging drummer, April decided to take the fight to cancer and combined her love of drumming with her passion to beat cancer and help others with their fights.
