On Wednesday, September 11, 2019, the Prime Minister paid a visit to the Governor General requesting the dissolution of the 42nd Parliament and the issuance of writs for the 43rd Canadian General Election. Canadians will go to the polls to choose the next federal government on Monday, October 21, 2019.
