The DAC report which is now handled by Hire Right is a report used by companies to report on your behavior and the things you do at a company.  It is kind of like a credit report of how you did at your job.  Now, more and more I am seeing companies using this against drivers by reporting things that are not accurate.  I am sure companies would say it is just an honest mistake but we all know that to be a BIG FAT LIE.  When a company reports a truck abandonment on your DAC, it can be difficult to get another job.  What can be done about it?  You should write a demand letter to remove it and send it certified.  If that does not work you may need a lawyer to get involved and you may even need to sue them.  It is just another way that truck drivers are being taken advantage of in the industry.  We work without pay and then get hosed on leaving a job.
