Bryant is a former police officer that now owns a Jiujitsu school full time. He is a black belt in BJJ under Carlos Sapao. He wrestled for many years as a yongster, and made his way to Ceasar Gracie's academy and found himself training on a regular basis with future champions Nick and Nate Diaz, Gilbert Melendez, Jake Shields, and Dave Terrell.
