John McManus is a Democrat and a Member-Elect of the Dayton Board of Education, and he is currently running for Ohio State Representative for District 41. John has spent his entire adult career in government service at the state and federal levels specializing in legislative, administrative, regulatory, and media affairs. He also serves as the executive director of the Sunlight Project, a small charitable organization dedicated to the elderly and people with disabilities in nursing homes and assisted living facilities. John hopes to bring his experience in government management to the Board to better implement a strategic public-sector vision that ensures effective and efficient government for the Dayton community.
