I’m not odd…just quirky! opics/Passage: Romans 12:9-21 Summary: We live in a world that is, well… sometimes a little bit crazy. Come to think of it, sometimes it an out of control crazy. People do strange things, it seems that common sense is nowhere to be found, and the people you meet are worrying about how much something will effect them? what does it cost them? how much is it going to hurt them? and what will others think about them? There is a fear that they can’t control things… as a result we live in a world with a hard edge, full of cold hearts, and very empty people. But the people of God, the followers of Jesus are called to be different. They are called to be something that is difficult for the rest of the world to understand. When the followers of Jesus get serious about changing the world, they begin to do things that seems very odd to those who do not have a heart for God. Today we explore why what the rest of the culture might see as strange is really normal for those who love Jesus.
