We’re pleased to welcome Antias to our podcast series — the multi-genre project of Alexey Danilkin, originally from Ryazan and now based in Zelenograd in Russia. For the past decade, Antias has been releasing music on dub techno labels across Europe, as well as on Hello Strange in Saint Petersburg and Resonance Moscow. Over the years, he has also recorded more than 60 podcasts and live sessions, shaping a distinctive sonic language of his own. His sound brings together textured ambient layers, field recordings, analogue sub-bass, percussion processed through Arturia FX, dub chords and pads, alongside live recordings of bass guitar and traditional string instruments such as zither and gusli. Antias describes the project as a mirror of his inner state: when he wants to switch off his mind, he creates dub techno; in darker moments, broken breakbeat rhythms emerge.
