This week Josh welcomes Pastor Darius and Miss Naomi, they share their backgrounds, callings, and passion for youth ministry. Darius recounts growing up in Artesia, New Mexico, giving his life to Jesus and feeling called to ministry at 13, later pursuing semi-pro soccer with New Mexico United before leaving it after sensing God calling him back into ministry. Naomi shares making her faith her own at eight after losing her grandmother, sensing a call to ministry in fifth grade through a speaking competition, and later attending Bible college in Dallas where she met Darius. They discuss why youth ministry matters, connecting with students, recent youth events, summer camp, and Darius prays for listeners to answer God’s call, followed by camp sign-up info and a plug for Pastor Troy’s new sowing-and-reaping series.
