Israel: a people being transformed!

When people arrived at Ben Gurion airport in Israel after October 7, 2023, they were greeted by rows of posters displayed for each  of the 251 hostages taken to Gaza on that dreadful day along the entry hallway. When we recently arrived in Israel on January 26 there was only one remaining hostage poster for Ran Gvili, whose body had been held in Gaza for 843 days. His body was identified and returned to Israel on the day we arrived, January 26, 2026. After going through customs we headed for the airport train station to ascend up to Jerusalem. On the columns in the train station there were many stickers which were in memory of fallen soldiers. One sticker had just one word, “v’ahavta.” The word on the sticker had vowel pointing such as is generally only used in the Hebrew scriptures.
