Even pagan Pharaoh recognizes divine blessing upon Joseph, so Pharaoh commands that Joseph be placed as second over all the land of Egypt to implement his plan for the coming plenty and famine. At the age of thirty, Joseph receives an Egyptian name and an Egyptian wife. The seven years of agricultural abundance are also a time of family abundance for Joseph, to whom is born two sons.
