The Prophets (a.s) (S3) Adam (a.s) was blessed with tremendous knowledge. Surah [2:31]: “He [سُبْحَانَهُ وتَعَالَى] taught Adam [a.s] the names of all things”. Adam (a.s) was taught of all the species. He (a.s) was taught of plates, the scoop etc. He (a.s) knew the names of the Angels (a.s), his children, he knew 700,000 languages, he knew the names of all towns and cities. The Angels (a.s) realised that Adam (a.s) had been favoured over them.
