The book of Ruth takes place during one of the darkest periods of time in Israel’s history, marked by moral chaos and rampant idolatry. Following the story of a foreign woman who adopts the life of her mother-in-law, Ruth is a story of how God can create beauty despite chaos, as well as the future hope that is to come for all. Ruth not only traveled to Naomi’s home and embraced a new way of life, she devoted herself fully to being adopted as part of the people of God.
