Thou Shalt Not Bear False Witness against thy neighbor - Lies are at the heart of oppression. Distortion of truth bends the minds of the masses to the will of the dictator at the highest form of lying, where as lying in the basic form destroys our neighbor and kills him on the installment plan. Understanding our wicked hearts puts in to perspective the Psalmists pleading with the Lord as he says " Remove from me the way of Lying and grant me thy law graciously (Psalm 119: 29). The way of lying is a lifestyle, a way of thought. The Church is to call out lying and hold to account. Learn in this series the seriousness of lying and the calling of Christians and the Church to stand in the gap for the land and not allow lies to advance into culture, but be stopped in their tracks.
