Show Notes In This Episode… From The Battlefield to Barbados Rory Mackenzie is an adventurer by heart who has successfully managed to make adventuring his trade too.Rory was a combat medical technician in the Army, serving for 10 years, unfortunately while on deployment he was severely wounded in a road side bomb in Basra in 2007 where he had his right leg traumatically amputated. After several years of rehabilitation Rory set of on his maiden adventure with 5 other blokes they successfully rowed across the Atlantic Ocean raising over a million pounds for armed forces charities.   Rory has now left the forces and is active on the speaking circuit, sharing his stories with the aim to inspire and inject a sense of perspective.
