In this edition of the SMART farmer podcast, we are talking to one of the smartest people on the planet when it comes to modern agriculture.  Robert Fraley grew up on a small farm in Illinois and developed a passion for plants that became his life's work as a microbiologist and biochemist. He was awarded the World Food Prize in 2013, together with two others who helped pioneer the scientific breakthroughs that have led to smarter farming around the world. Robb Fraley has worked for Monsanto his entire career and as Executive Vice President and Chief Technology Officer he has essentially been the public face of the agribusiness giant, so he regularly has the opportunity to explain the importance of biotechnology to the world, to those who will listen.
