What an episode. We really had no idea what we were getting into with this one. Initially the plan was to talk about Yazid's upcoming project; Martial Beats. For those that haven't heard of it yet, it's something between a documentary and a music video focusing on the stories of martial artists.  After delving a little deeper into his life however, the story is far more complex. We learn the story of Yazid's life growing up in Syria before the more recent conflict developed. Not only do we gain an insight into how martial arts were viewed at the time within the country, but we also get a look into what life is like inside a Syrian prison. Needless to say, it's a harrowing story which our guest tells with genuine class. Yazid's thoughts on martial arts music are definitely not to be missed in this very special episode.
