The GAA says its ethics and integrity commission is still investigating the association's relationship with Allianz after the Offaly county board called for an end to commercial ties with the multinational company. The German-headquartered insurance and financial services firm has sponsored the GAA's football and hurling leagues since 1993 - and is due to so until 2030 - but was among a number of companies named by the UN in June as being involved in sustaining and paying for Israel's actions in the occupied Palestinian territories.
