How To Not Suck At Teaching

I speak with a former student of mine, Alaya Shearman. Alaya was one of the hardest working students I've encountered in my career. Our conversation focused on her experiences as a learner, how the public education system in NY prepared her for college, how certain teachers made a difference for her, her idea of an ideal classroom environment, and advice to new teachers.
