Going Protagonist

Jay and Chris watch a movie about a ragtag group of kids who come together and inspire a town with the help of their coach and the excitement of sport. No it's not that kid's sports movie you actually like, it The Big Green. Where the town is in Texas, the coach is British, and the sport is soccer. Though Chris and Jay both remembered this movie fondly, rewatching proved those memories were lies. Is this movie as bad as we think it is? Do people in Texas not what Soccer is?
