My job allows me to live anywhere in the world, but while I thought it would be a dream come true, it has actually been extremely painful to uproot myself continuously after forming connections in each place I've lived. I feel a strong lacking of community in my life. While a life of continuous travel is fun, there is no replacement for the time it takes to forge a bond with a new place.
