Mental Health Warriors

Chris Lewis is a different kind of leader because he puts people first. Everyone I have ever spoken to that knows Chris thinks exceptionally highly of him.  After meeting and talking to him you can count me in that group. Chris and I talk openly about his career and his own battles with mental health.  I love talking to people who understand how great a service it is to share their stories.  Chris' battle with mental health issues started during a horrific firefight.  As with many, it took him many years to understand how the trauma he experienced impacted him. He talks about his career in the OPP and what he learned as a leader along the way.  He is a natural story teller.  We get some inside baseball on the inner workings of the OPP and what it was like to rise to the very top.  His humility and self-deprecating sense of humour while talking about his life and career are the mark of a great leader.
