Morse code started way back in 1836! It was originally developed by an Amateur artist by the name of Samuel F.B. Morse, an American physicist Joseph Henry, and Alfred Vail. Their system sent electric pulses through wiring to a receiving station that used an electromagnet to make a mark on a piece of "paper".
