Angel Diez in his own words For years people have told me I was funny and I should go for it, but I just put it on my "bucket list." but of course, truth be told, I was terrified of the idea of performing standup which is why I never tried to check it off the list! Sure, I told jokes to friends, and have an entertaining way of telling stories, but standup?! My start in standup began as most off-the-wall things do: alcohol and a friend's dare. And the rest, as they say, is history! It's my favorite thing to do in the world – just getting on stage and making people laugh feels incredible. What really jazzes me about doing standup is , e-mails and Facebook messages I get from fans, or someone who speaks to me right after a show– anywhere from people who lost their job, to someone who is facing a hard medical challenge, to troops getting ready to go back for another tour in Afghanistan to losing a loved one. And they always talk about what I do getting them through that tough time in their lives. They laugh, and
