The Phillies, in the 11th inning of a tie game with 2 outs, lost on a broken bat hit back to Orion Kerkering which resulted in Kerkering's errant throw to home plate instead of getting the out at 1st base to end the inning. Kerkering overthrew JT Realmuto and the game was over. Not only did the Phillies lose, the Eagles lost to the lowly Giants and the Flyers lost their season opener in Florida.
